Careers
Senior Video Producer
Shape and shoot the founder interviews that anchor our Stories section, from pre-production through final cut.
About the Role
At Into The Margins, we tell the real stories behind entrepreneurship.
Our Stories section gives founders a place to talk about the decisions, risks, failures, pivots, and lessons that shaped their businesses. We’re looking for a Senior Video Producer to help bring those stories to life.
You’ll own the video production process from pre-production through final cut, working closely with founders and our content team to create thoughtful, engaging interviews that feel authentic rather than overly produced.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be involved in every stage of production.
- Plan founder interviews, including production schedules, locations, equipment, and shot lists.
- Work with our content team to develop interview concepts and questions.
- Coordinate directly with founders and guests before and during production.
- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and professional audio equipment.
- Direct interviews and create an environment where founders feel comfortable telling honest stories.
- Review footage and identify the strongest moments and stories.
- Edit long-form interviews and supporting video content.
- Add B-roll, graphics, music, captions, and other supporting elements when appropriate.
- Handle color correction, audio cleanup, and final quality control.
- Prepare finished videos for our website, social channels, and other platforms.
- Help develop repeatable production workflows as our video library grows.
The Kind of Producer We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who understands that great video starts with a great story.
You should have:
- 5+ years of professional video production experience.
- Experience producing interviews, documentaries, editorial content, branded content, or similar work.
- Strong camera, lighting, and location-audio skills.
- Professional video editing experience.
- A strong understanding of pacing, composition, sound, and visual storytelling.
- The ability to take a project from an initial idea through final delivery.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
More importantly, you should be curious.
You enjoy meeting interesting people, asking thoughtful questions, and finding the story behind the story.
Story Comes First
We’re not interested in making founder interviews that feel like commercials.
The best conversations happen when people feel comfortable enough to be honest. We want our videos to capture the moments that reveal what it actually takes to build a business — the uncertainty, the mistakes, the breakthroughs, and everything in between.
As our Senior Video Producer, you’ll help create that environment.
You’ll know when to step in, when to ask another question, and when to simply let someone talk.
Technical quality matters to us, but story always comes first.
Your Production Toolkit
Experience with professional production tools is expected. Our workflow may include:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- DaVinci Resolve
- Professional DSLR or mirrorless camera systems
- Professional lighting equipment
- Wireless and shotgun microphone systems
- Remote interview and recording platforms
We’re not tied to a particular brand or software package. What matters most is your ability to consistently produce excellent work.
Remote Work
This is a Remote (US) position.
Our work may take you into different production environments, and occasional travel may be required for select founder interviews or special projects.
You should be comfortable managing your own production setup, coordinating shoots remotely, and working with people across different locations.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you’ll help us:
- Produce consistently strong founder interviews.
- Build a reliable and repeatable video production workflow.
- Improve the quality and consistency of our Stories content.
- Create a comfortable and professional experience for interview guests.
- Turn long-form conversations into compelling stories.
- Develop a recognizable visual style for Into The Margins.
- Build a growing library of founder stories that people want to watch and share.
As the Stories section grows, you’ll have an important role in defining how those stories look, sound, and feel.
Why Into The Margins?
We’re building something focused on the real side of entrepreneurship.
That means going beyond the highlight reel and giving founders a place to talk about what actually happened — what worked, what didn’t, and what they learned along the way.
You’ll work with a small team, have meaningful creative ownership, and help shape the visual identity of a growing entrepreneurial media platform.
If you enjoy meeting founders, making great videos, and turning real conversations into stories people care about, we’d love to hear from you.
